Our Faith – Christian Religious Education – Learner’s Book Grade 5 is a comprehensive textbook developed to meet the requirements of Kenya’s rationalized Curriculum Design for Christian Religious Education. Authored by Patrick Tumusiime and colleagues, this book aims to nurture learners’ faith and values based on the teachings of the Holy Bible, enabling them to acquire specified knowledge, skills, competencies, and values for application in day-to-day life. Each sub-strand begins with a picture study activity to stimulate the learner’s inquisitive mind, followed by engaging learning activities that cater to various learning styles and domains. The “Learning Zone” section at the end of each activity allows learners to confirm their findings, while the home activity section provides additional tasks to apply acquired skills and knowledge in environments outside the classroom. Self-assessment tools are also included to help learners evaluate their learning journey. This coursebook is KICD-approved and widely used in Grade 5 Christian Religious Education classrooms across Kenya.
